Shillinglaw Cottage
4 Panther Place
Eltham
Originally built in the late 1870s by George Stebbing, referred to as a "noted pioneer builder" by Marguerite Marshall in her
new book, "Nillumbik Now and Then". The original building was rebuilt on its present site by the Eltham Shire about 100 metres away from its original
site on Main Road Eltham. Shillinglaw Cottage retains its original charm and shows off a rustic character
that would have been much loved by the first family to live in it after its completion nearly 130 years ago.
