Redbox News | Exciting new products from the Redbox Vineyard in Kangaroo Ground Each year it gets better. Redbox has released three superb sparkling wines made in the Methode Champenoise tradition. Sparkling Blanc de Blanc, Sparkling Rose, and a stunning Sparkling Merlot, all of which are labelled as a tribute to Australia's world renowned operatic soprano, Elena Xanthoudakis, a Melbourne girl, who has been highly awarded for her work in European events such as the Maria Callas Grand Prix in Athens, and the Mozart International in Salzburg. In both events, Elena was the winner. Elena was back in Melbourne during August 2008, for her wedding, and had a busy performing schedule as well, appearing in the Elixir of Love with the Victorian Opera Company at the Merlyn Theatre, CUB Malthouse in Melbourne from 12th to 21st August. Redbox Sparkling Rose was served to patrons on the opening night. Redbox Sparkling wines are now available at the special price of $36 per bottle, minus 10% discount for case lots, mixed or otherwise. Redbox Wine Club Members enjoy an even greater discount, of course. |

Second is Cabernet Merlot, then Cabernet Rose, a superb dessert wine - Ice Cabernet made using our unique Ice Reduction system, which concentrates the important elements of the juice. The fifth product is Redbox Classic Tawny.
Not a sweet sticky mass produced "Port", (we don't call Port "Port" anymore, new rules), just Classic Tawny. Find yourself a nice block of Belgian dark chocolate, a couple of friends, and settle in with a bottle of Redbox Classic Tawny. You will never forget the experience. By the way, the sixth product made from Cabernet grapes is not a wine! It is Cabernet Jelly. We have used it in the Cheese Platters for a few years. We make it on site, and due to gentle pressure from Cellar Door visitors, we have packaged some to take away. In 110 and 190ml jars, at $4.50 and $7.50 respectively, they are disappearing quickly. We will be doing another batch early in 2009. That's for sure! New Releases Limited stocks of Redbox Rosé and Redbox Late Harvest Riesling has now been released. These will be sold before the summer ends, so get some while they are still available. Redbox Ice Riesling and Ice Cabernet dessert wines have been a resounding success. There are still a few cases left from the last vintage, so get in quickly if you want to secure a supply of this innovative product. Redbox Riesling has reenergised demand for Riesling in many restaurants in the Melbourne region. Fresh fruity flavours which remain consistent three years after bottling are testament to the quality of this product. Existing stocks are dwindling, but, there is a new vintage waiting to be labelled and tasted. Dates to Remember The Redbox Cellar Door opens on all public holidays including:
